    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

I don't believe they will send me parts because I somehow messed up the threads on the seal plate, but ok. thanks.

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

Ok so the good first: the shaft seal 17351-0101S was exactly right and fit perfectly! The bad, as I put everything back together, the 2 bottom bolts on the volute wouldn't screw in all the way. as soon as I realize it I also can't unscrew them anymore... so my entire assembly is now stuck. I...

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

Yes! I definitely recognize this. You're a legend! I would have never found that... Unfortunately I installed the pump myself, so I believe that voids the warranty

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

Very similar! Although It may be a bit different., I think the holes for the 3 screws that hold the "impeller housing"(?) are differently aligned... I know I'm not help, haha. I will have to take it apart and take pictures.

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

I did, yes. The pump really is less than one year old so it all came apart pretty easily.

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

Yes the ceramic bit that pushes into the plate is too small - obviously so. My seal definitely does not look like the 3867 one. My plate does not look damaged in any way. When I was taking it apart I was confused on why my pump was leaking in the first place because I did not see anything worn.

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

I took it apart yesterday but reassembled it with the old shaft seal just so I could run the pump (even though it's leaking) for the time being while I figure out the correct shaft seal. The original shaft seal has the carbon side really stuck on the impeller (hence why I thought that part gets...

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

Thank you for all that information! So the problem is, I already have a new PS-200 and it does not fit, it's too small. I have a Superflo VS so by all accounts it should fit just fine so I'm confused... My pump has the timer/screen thing on the top so it's a bit different from the one in the video.

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

This is what my impeller looks like, I'm not sure if that's different from others. It seems to me that all these seals have 2 parts, ceramic side that fits in the plate, and then the carbon side that fits on the impeller...

    Superflo VS Shaft Seal

my Superflo VS EC 342001 started leaking so I purchased a kit with all new seals. Unfortunately, the kit came with a PS-200 shaft seal which was smaller than what I needed. I'm honestly very confused on which one I do need... I saw on another threat here earlier that PS-3867 would be the...

    Replace plumbing question

So just an update for the archive or if someone else has the same issue: I decided to use J-B Waterweld I bought at Walmart for 6 bucks a tube, and fix the air leak. Every time I plugged a leak a different one showed up all around both valves so I ended up using 3 tubes and just plugging all the...

    Replace plumbing question

Thanks all. I will research and maybe try the epoxy first, if it doesn't work it's no money wasted. It's good to know that an inside connector exists, because this is my first time dealing with pool plumbing. I'll probably replace the plumbing at some point but I've got plenty of other things to...

    Replace plumbing question

Could someone clarify the use of JB weld for me please?

    Replace plumbing question

Is that a common fix? I know silicone wouldn't work because of the high psi but didn't think about using jb weld. I'm guessing the 'right' way to do is it to overhaul the piping since I don't have much faith in the whole plumbing but at the same time I want to see if there are any other leaks.

    Replace plumbing question

In general, do pump connections always have threads? Meaning I can screw out the existing connection? Thank you all for your prompt responses. I believe the leak is actually happening between the pvc and the valve connection, making me believe that replacing the orings wouldn't help much? I...

    Replace plumbing question

Hey all! First of all thank you for all the help. I've recently purchased my first home and inherited a pool. I have been trying to locate a suction side air leak and have found it. it is (look at picture) on the bottom of the right valve. So I am assuming that I will have to replace that...
