Hello just curious if my test kit solutions are still okay to use from last year?

Very little if any. We have been brushing. I even put my Intex automatic pool vacuum in last weekend, for an hour or so, and it didn’t seem to pick up anything. My husband spent all day yesterday running the pool net along the bottom too and picked up very little!!

I’m sorry if I’m confusing everyone. It’s because I’m confused!! Lol. The difference I see is if it has salt, the CYA levels need to be higher than without salt. Currently I’ve had my CYA at 50-60 and SLAMing accordingly. BUT if it DOES have salt it is not recommended to SLAM below 70 CYA. So...

I understand this but I was going by the Chlorine/CYA chart on this TPF site. (See photo). If it is a salt water pool the CYA levels run higher which puts the SLAM level as higher. I’m trying to decide if my water STILL has residual salt in it from last year after adding so many fresh gallons...

So if we kept the Intex pool full would we plug the holes and disassemble the pump and filter or continue to run it each day. Would this keep it from freezing?? We live in West Texas and we can have pretty harsh winters.

The new fitting is the same size but just curious if the water will rush out if I change it out. Or will I have to drain water level down? I'm pretty sure I only have to change the cover or face of it.

Can I change out the existing water return jet that came with my Bestway/Coleman pool even if the water level is above the jet. This jet has no adjustable eyeball. New one that came with sand filter does. Sorry if this is talked about somewhere else.
