    Crack in newish mini-pebble

Finally got it fixed today and have the pool filling back up. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be here when they were doing the work so I didn't get pictures of the repair, but here is a picture of the patch.

    Crack in newish mini-pebble

They didn't seem alarmed. It's fairly common that the ground shifts here (north TX) and my pool is older. According to my pool guy, it seems to be random around here. He said his pool shifted and cracked 6 months after it was built and after they fixed that it hasn't cracked again in 15 years.

    Crack in newish mini-pebble

Looks like there is a hairline crack in the gunite that probably caused the crack. They are going to repair the cracked area and then the mini pebble tomorrow.

    Crack in newish mini-pebble

A small update. The pool company finally had someone come out today to start repairs. It looks like it separated a good way down the wall. Still haven't figured out what the cause was, but I don't see any cracks in the substrate. I also found a few tiles that were cracked in line with the...

    Crack in newish mini-pebble

I can't see the Gunite through the crack due to the angle/ light but it looks like it might be deep enough to hit the gunite. Hopefully, it's not the substrate. When they replastered I don't think they did any substrate repairs in that area and only minor stuff around the rest of the pool.

    Crack in newish mini-pebble

Hi all, I was just scrubbing my pool since the weather here warmed up a bit and found a crack along the edge of the bench in my pool. The pool was replastered with mini-pebble last Feb-March, so I think this should still be under warranty. What would cause something like this? I plan to call the...

    Kool deck repair/ replacement

What are you planning to do to your deck? I am hoping to get it done in August so I wouldn't be able to see your results first, but I am always curious what other people pick, and why.

    Kool deck repair/ replacement

Hi, I am trying to figure out the best way to fix my pool deck. It has a really old kool deck that has started delaminating in places. I have seen a few options but have not really been happy with any of them so far. The cooling effects of the deck coating are by far the most important factor...

Looking to add a swg to my pool and can't decide which one.

I think I have decided on the Pentair IC60. Will it hurt anything if I begin adding salt to the pool before I get the SWG installed?

    Plaster repair on steps

I recently drained about half my pool to get the CYA level under control but it looks like the top steps were out of water too long and I have some areas on it that the plaster bubbled up and chipped off. What is the best way to repair these few spots? I have only seen them on the top step so...

Looking to add a swg to my pool and can't decide which one.

How do we update our signature? I don't have any automation, I may get it sometime in the future but it is pretty far down the list of things to do. This is my equipment: 22k inground plaster diving pool, 60 sqft Pentair DE filter, I don't really know the flow of the pump but I included a...

Looking to add a swg to my pool and can't decide which one.

Like the title says, I am wanting to add a swg to my pool and can't decide which to go with. My pool is ~22k gallons and the gets full Texas sun. It seems that the Heyward is the most liked system but they only have a 40k gallon system and I think I would be better off with a system bigger than...

    Hi from Grapevine

Hi, I have read this forum many times in the past and never bothered to register. I bought my house last summer and this is my first time having a pool. I have learned a lot from here but find something new every week with the pool that I need to learn about. I have a 22,000-gallon diving...
