    Inground Light Cable issues

Is it possible to replace the cable on an in ground pool light? I discovered a nick in mine while I was checking the seal, which is also junk. There was a ball of epoxy, should I replace it or is there something better?

    DE filter question.

I just bought a house with an inground pool. It was winterized but I had to move the filter and pump away from the electric service. How do I know if there is DE on the fingers still or do I start fresh this year? It is a Hayward Perflex, not sure if it's a 65A or 75A. Thanks in advance.
