My last work has lasted for about 5 years. Short of redoing the whole pool plumbing I want to redo my equipment pad with some upgrades. VS speed pump. New filter and a heat pump. As of today I have plastic barbed connections going into the original/existing plumbing. I found the drips at a few connections and I wanted some feedback on how I can do it better. Thanks in advance.

That pipe looks like Black Poly from the pool. Your fix is correct for the situation. The downside is exactly the situation you are in...they will leak at some point, when the do, you dig and replace. The correct connection to the poly are these:

Search threads here for "black poly"

Your best course of action for long term, "no dig" is to replace the lines to the pool with sched 40 PVC.
