Finished wiring and install this weekend! Took your advice and wired to bypass the timer. Much better idea. Kept the SWG on the timer. Appreciate all the help!

I get small white particles as well. Tend to go away when I pour some MA in the pool. Very un-scientific I know. Better to get the kit and post results.

How did you wire the pump directly to the Line connections? As Im reading the timer controls all the terminals not just some of the terminals? I currently have my lights and waterfall wired to the timer as well but have some sort of x10 wireless controller wired in as well.

That makes sense. I think Ill need to rewire the SWG too.

The manual for this pump says 3" from the back the motor to the house for ventilation. If youre not in a blazing hot part of the country it might not be an issue, but here in CA it would be pretty rough on the motor.

I am replacing my old whisperflo 1.5hp with a SuperFlo VS (342001) in the next few weeks. I recieved my pump replacement yesterday and it seems to be wired the same way the old pump was setup (line-line-ground). Can I just re-use the old wiring and remove the "On/Off" metal tags in the timer...

Mine gets air in from the SWG a lot of time. I can even see a little bit of dripping on the bottom side. I purge the filter of air every couple of days. Plan on re-plumbing once the rains stop here in CA.

Thanks Everyone. I plan on putting this in the return line from the solar to the pool. Does anyone see a problem with placing it on a vertical down pipe? The spring is fairly strong so I can imagine it wont have a problem keeping the flap shut but didnt know if anyone had any thoughts.

Thats what I thought too. Figure give a 1min delay for on/off on both actuators. Figured I would go down to Home Depot and buy a irrigation panel and test it out. If it works Ill put it up here with pics, just didnt know if someone else has gone this route.

Thanks gary3000. I believe I could wire it as timer 1=valve open, timer 2= valve closed. Most timers are 24VAC I believe.
