Need advice - Trying to pull light fixture cable.

Hi My pool was built in 2011. Unfortunately the company that built the pool, made the cable for the pool light too short by about 8 inches.. Probably giggling to themselves while doing so ! So i can't get it to the side of the pool to replace the bulb. It just about reaches the top of the...

So I live in a typical SW Floridan HOA community, and there's a lake just at the back of my yard. I have a duck problem. Well they just love a morning, and erm i guess an afternoon, and evening dip in my pool. I've tried scaring them away, but they don't give a **** !! well not unless its in...

Can't get screw out on underwater light fixture to replace bulb.

Hey guys thanks for all your responses. Got it out, using my JIS driver and some Drive Grip. It stayed on the head of my JIS long enough even submerged. I gave it a tighten then loosen, and got the sucker !! Very happy. Back in business and very happy to not have to dip into a cold pool.

Can't get screw out on underwater light fixture to replace bulb.

Thanks. That thought did actually cross my mind. I actually have some JIS cos i'm big into bikes, so i'll give that a try. It's my 2nd home, so i don't have all my tools at hand.

Can't get screw out on underwater light fixture to replace bulb.

I need to change the bulb on my light, however the screw holding the enclosure in, feels like its just going to chew up. I'm only a DIY person. What are my options? are there any tricks i've not thought about? Or do i have to drain 4 ft of water out of it, and go at it with special tools...

Which LED bulb for this enclosure ?

I've just done the math. To light up my pool 4hrs a night 7 nights a week, would cost me $20 per yr in electricity. So not even sure if its cost effective to go LED in this instance... Just look at it as an expensive (comparable to other lighting as everything is LED in my home) to make my pool...

Understanding the benefit of a variable pump.

Thanks Jim, I clean my filter every 2-4 weeks. I basically take it out and blast it with a hose. Quite a bit of dirty water rinses out of it, along with small debris, such as dead grass, leaves and a few bugs here and there.. I thought the idea of having the pump running for a good few hrs was...

Hi, This is my first post on this forum. So let me start off with a hi !! OK despite being an avid diy'er i've been just taking samples to a local pool store, and every week dumping a gallon of liquid chlorine into the pool, leaving the pump on 8hrs all yr round, and throwing in a chlorine...
