    Pool Math App

Past couple of years I had subscribed to the pool math app so I could keep long term tabs on pool's history. I've discontinued my subscription since I rarely need to look back in depth. The TFP method has made my pool surprisingly stable. I'm guessing that since I won't be able to keep more than...

FWIW - Blue Devil vs. Taylor CYA tests wildly different (again)

Just posting in case it may help someone else. I'd asked a while back about why the two tests would come out so differently. Never really got an answer, so I just stuck with the blue devil method because I thought it was easier to read. I could tell things weren't really right based on the...

Taylor vs Blue Devil CYA testing

About year ago, I ordered the Blue Devil CYA test. I'd read it was much easier, and to me, it is. I don't remember comparing the two, I just switched over to the blue devil. This year, I compared the two. Taylor says 60 and Blue Devil says 100. I figured testing error even though both are...

    Metal / Organics / ???

Need y’alls Opinion. Water test pic below. Water looks beautiful but this staining on all the white plastic stuff (polaris, drain cover, skimmer and basket, deep end built in stairs) is driving me nuts. Was looking around for staining issues earlier and the reasons were all over the board. I’m...

Elevated Chlorine - Is it a problem?

According to Pool School, my Chlorine should be at 6. It's been between 7 and 9 with my SWG only running at between 5 and 25% and the pump running about 8 hours per day. Some days I've cut it all the way down to 0%, but it appears it still registers as 5% on the control board. We received 2.5"...

Trying hard not to buy this year, but...

Love / hate relationship with my Polaris 280. Reading this form makes me really want a new robotic cleaner, but I go back and forth because at least the Polaris stays in the pool with no chords to trip over and runs when I schedule it. Although I would love to take it out, that’s not really...

    Return Jet Replacement

Hey All - Been meaning to do this for years and every time I get started I end up getting frustrated trying to find these parts... Can anyone help me identify these fittings or point me in a direction to find new ones? It's a 1" eye, but looks like the majority of fittings out there are male...

    Raising pH via aeration

Having to drop the TA due to addition of borates. With the addition of MA I’ve seen the advice to raise pH again via aeration. I have fountains I add for the kids in summer time that attach to the returns. Any idea how long it may take to raise between .6 and .8? Thanks - jp
