    My OB in Vegas!

Will, I have been offline for a while and just saw this but noticed you have plaster going in today. Your travertine patio turned out great

Good move on the wing walls. It all flows very nicely now and your ledger stone and coping go really well together. Things are moving along for you.

Kim That is the bonfire setting. ?. I dialed it down in the second picture which is probably where it will usually stay. It does put out some nice heat for those cool evenings in the vegas winter

We put the lava rock in the fire pit but still need to order the log kit. We are going for the lakeside camping feel with the dark pool, rock ledgestone dropping into the water and campfire logs. Not much travertine at any lake we ever visited but we liked it and said "what the heck" We tested...

OB in VEGAS - Another one!!!! :)

You are off to a great start. Lots of character to your design. Picking out finishes and hoping like heck they work together is probably the most agonizing part. Good luck and know you have a lot of support out here.

The color changes over the course of the day but it looks like I am picking up a bit more blue as things settle in.

OK, I am back home and am told that the water is OK to swim.....Except that it is only about 71 and I am not 12 years old anymore. It will be two weeks this Tuesday since mini pebble was done. How soon until i can heat my spa and pool? Do i really need to wait a full two weeks.?

They did a great job with your coping. You should be thrilled. And you get your nice cool surface. We had a similar situation with our spa. I really didn't want to pull the tile off but we just kept looking at it and it just never looked right. So we got out the hammer drill and chipped it all...

    My OB in Vegas!

I have been out of town since last Friday. Things are still moving along. The access wall is finally complete and so is the spa and RBB coping. They did most of the skim coat for the stucco on the planter beds and then put the travertine caps on. Go figure. I would have finished the stucco and...

    My OB in Vegas!

I have one spot in the pool that could use some work and the jury is still out on the spa. A little too much plaster left in some spots. The guy was here until about 2pm but the spa was the last. To be honest I have never seen one in person so not sure what is normal.

    My OB in Vegas!

We are inching closer. Pumps started this morning and the pool guy will be helping me with the startup for the next couple of weeks. I have wireless connection to my control panel and played with the lights last night. Still looking for more blue than green.

Color is more green than blue at this point and not sure how long until the water gets balanced and we get a sense of the final water color

I guess it isn't over until it is over. After some deliberation last night and this morning we removed the travertine from the front of the spa wall. Thanks for all the input. We picked up more of the glass tile this morning and are now just waiting for the tile guys to show up and freak out.

Good idea. We actually have enough extra to pull it off. Too many darn decision and too little time.

    My OB in Vegas!

So we have a minor dilemma. We really like how the travertine looks on the side of the spa but aren't thrilled with the look from the front. There is too much contrast between the black tile and the cream travertine. We are seriously considering taking the travertine on the front out and...

Well look who came out of the dark. Good to see you back. We just installed our travertine and the wife is thrilled with how cool it stays. I know that was important to you so well worth the wait.

So not sure how the dog got in just about every picture.....it was a busy day. Tile team showed up later and will be back tomorrow. Landscapers did an awesome job and are all done. We think the pool will be full around 1pm tomorrow.

There were about four of us in Vegas actively building and posting since the new year and I am sure a bunch watching on the sidelines as I did for about six months. Best of luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

    My OB in Vegas!

Thanks, we took it below the waterline and are very interested to see how it turns out once the pool is full. They are here doing the clean up and acid wash now. Probably a few more hours before the hose goes in. It is RMQ E-Z SET Contemporary Ledge Stone in Sunset Silver...
