Update: my current pump is a Waterway Universal Booster Pump. Model 3810430-1PDA. I'm trying to find the best way to go. If I could get a new pump for, say, twice the price of the volute I might get it and keep the old pump for parts. I already have two motors so it seems a waste to buy another.

I have a cracked volute on my Polaris 280 booster pump. A new one is ~$100. A new pump is $350-400 with a motor. The thing is, I already have a spare motor but I can't find a new pump without a motor. Is it possible to buy just the pump? BTW, I have replaced a shift seal and other parts before...

I'm not sure how to answer this. Are you asking if the ground is wet/dry? Or something else?

Thanks all for your replies. I will start working on getting the liner replaced. There is a small but noticeable loss of water (1/8" over a couple of days) so I expect it needs to be done soon. I'm still a little unclear on how bad this could be if it takes a week or two to get the liner in.

Looking at replacement parts, it looks like shaft seal AS-1000 and PS-1000 are interchangeable. Is this the case? Any ideas why they would have different but very similar numbers? Thanks, Steve

Looking at the last picture it looks like there is a notch at the front for each of the out of place burners. Do you think they could be reseated? It still leaves the question of how they came to be out of place.

This may give a better idea of what's going on. Any ideas on what could have caused this?

I took some pictures. The color of the flame changes with the angle of the camera. It may be a lighting thing. Also, note the corrosion on the bottom. Any thoughts on that?
