    Closing new Pentair 125 heater

And no, thats not a drain. Its threaded but solid plastic across the hole about 1/2 deep. Assuming it can be drilled and tapped for something. Same kind of hole on the top that can be used for a pressure relief valve.

I’ll check shortly on the drain plug. Does the pressure switch unscrew in order to drain it? Or something else need done?

    Assuming algae problem_how to slam

Came home from work yesterday, removed solar cover and had a cloudy pool. Could barely see the bottom of the deep end. Ran a series of tests thru my TF test kit. Chlorine was 0, PH was normal, TA and CH were normal and that brings me to CYA. My CYA has been between 90-100 since we bought the...

Solar heater creation - pump needed

So basically i was going to coil the hose on the rubber roof, the heat from the roof would heat the hose and any water running through it. An increase of 10 degrees would be fine with me as it would get me into low to mid 70's. And i already have a solar cover installed. The pool is 14x30 with a...

Solar heater creation - pump needed

So my natural gas heater needs a $900 part to get operational, i am opting to just leave it collect dust. My inground pools sits approximately 4 feet above the deck out my back door which is partially covered. The roof of my covered deck is rubber and gets HOT during the day. I am considering...

    New pool, TF100 testing

TA is now readable, about 40. Is Borax the quickest way to get my PH up? I can never get my Borax to dissolve in water before putting in the pool, can i spread it around the pool straight out of the box? Also, do i need to be concerned with my filter pressure being up at the moment?

    New pool, TF100 testing

Does anyone have any thoughts as to 1. Why my water is a little cloudy; and 2. Why the pressure in my filter is suddenly shooting up almost 10psi even after cleaning?

    New pool, TF100 testing

So i have let things go for about a month now. I had decided to let things go as they were until the end of the season. Ive been able to maintain a constant acceptable chlorine level with the automatic chlorinator. My PH has stayed low, under 6.8, and the TA has remained zero per my TF100 test...

Hi folks! just closed on a home yesterday with and inground pool. Homeowners have not occupied the house in over 2 months but maintained the pool well enough to not let it grow green. I preformed the full blown TF100 tests the past 2 days, here at my most recent results: FC 10ppm CC 0ppm PH...
