3-way valve handle broken - glued plumbing? Don't know what to do!!!

Yeah I can't seem to find this valve anywhere in Canada. Two last questions: 1) won't water from the bottom drain flow out like crazy once I remove the valve with the flapper? 2) Any idea how I can unscrew the fitting on the first picture? I need to remove that part to extend my piping in the...

3-way valve handle broken - glued plumbing? Don't know what to do!!!

But 3-way vales i've seen online seem to be the entire thing: So I just take off the handle from the new one and replace it on my existing plumbing? Thanks!

3-way valve handle broken - glued plumbing? Don't know what to do!!!

Hey folks! So last winter, I closed my pool a little bit too late; stuff was frozen. So when I tried shutting off the 3-way valve, the handle snapped and broke. Now... My issue is that, I have no idea how to take it off, simply because I don't know how to remove the plumbing. If you look at my...

Returned from 17 days vacation: green algae???

Ya but wouldn't my FC be lower if it was the SWG not keeping up? Seems to me like it is keeping up right now. There is something I don't get here

Returned from 17 days vacation: green algae???

Hey guys, I went in France for 17 days and when I came back, I found my water to have a shade of green on some spots so I went outside to take a look at the water. There was some green algae patches on the bottom of the pool.... I just did a water test and here are the results: FC: 5 CC: 0...

    First time opening SWG pool

Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of update! So 3 days after my last post, my water was back to crystal clear. Since then, it's been perfect. Only thing I am getting a hard time on, is with the CYA. I must have added a total of 2kg of stabilizer, and it is barely up to 50 right now. I must say I have...

    First time opening SWG pool

Ok. So from what I understand, my SLAM probably does not work properly because the sun kills my FC? Also, how long after starting adding the CYA should I re-test to get an idea that it's working? And keeping so much powder in the skimmer, won't it clog it somehow? Thanks again!

    First time opening SWG pool

I did the sock method. It was actually 2 cups, which is probably not enough. It is MUCH MUCH more than what is said behind the container though... I guess I should add more... Pool math says 42 oz of stabilizer. I would need more than one sock for that much powder lol!

    First time opening SWG pool

OK... I am starting to get desperate here... Water is still cloudy after a week. I should specify it looks like a thin layer of cloudiness when I look closely.. This weekend, I made sure I kept my FC level to 13… I must have used over 13 gallons of bleach in two days as it kept going down to...

    First time opening SWG pool

Yes, pressure gauge, my bad. There is a pretty good pressure going out of the return. I can't say there is a good water flow in the skimmer though and if I put my fingers in, there ain't very much suction going to the hole of the tube going to the pump. Is this bad? My pressure gauge is...

    First time opening SWG pool

Alright, did a test before leaving for work. FC had gone down to 8.5, still no CC (is this normal?). Water back to that blueish cloudy opaque color displayed on my photo yesterday. I am starting to worry that my filter is nit working properly. Manometer displays 0 psi since I installed it back...

    First time opening SWG pool

Ok! I ran a water test when I came home and all FC had been consumed by the algae (had about 0.5 CC). I went ahead and brushed the pool, and when I was done, the water got darker. I guess it was because of the algae that got mixed in the water? So what I did is get my pool back to 12 FC. Am I...

    First time opening SWG pool

Ok so, I started putting in bleach yesterday at around 4pm and left the pump running. At 7h30 this morning, my water turned to blue, but is extremely cloudy. Is that normal and when should I start getting worried? I will post pictures as soon as I arrive at work as the mobile version won't...

    First time opening SWG pool

Ok excellent! Should I wait a week before re-testing the CYA to make sure it is all dissolved? Also, my salt level is really low. I must add 4 bags of salt. Should I do this before adding the CYA or it does not really matter? Thanks again!

    First time opening SWG pool

Ok, it's just that on the Chlorine/CYA chart, it only shows 60 cya for SWG pools. I thought that was what I needed... So, for 30cya, how much FC do I need to SLAM it? Also, after adding stabilizer, I should wait around a week before re-testing the CYA level and SLAM after I got the right level...

    First time opening SWG pool

Hey guys, I will need some help opening my SWG pool for the first time. Basically, the water is all green right now and it is filled up half-way to the skimmer. So it is full.. I had the pump running for 24hrs and just did a water test. Here are my test results: FC: 0 CC: 0 TA: 60 PH: 7.3 CH...

    First test - need help

    1) For CYA, how long should I wait before re-testing my pool? 24 hrs? After getting it to 30, should I add more until I hit the recommended levels or should I perform an OCLT like suggested? 2) Salt level on my chlorine generator displays 3800ppm. I know it is too much. My water feels a little...

    First test - need help

Hey guys, Just completed my first test using the Taylor K2006. Here are my results: FAS-DPD FC +CC = 0 PH = 7.4 TA = 100 CH = 90 CYA = 0 Yeah I know, these don't look good... The thing is, it took about 3 weeks for my kit to come home, so all I had was my normal OTO tester. Anyways, I know...
