I have used my intex vacuum hose attached to a shorter regular hose to drain with sand filter pump. The vac hose is clamped to the "B" adapter with a regular hose clamp. The b adapter screws onto regular hose. Pics won't have vac hose because it's still in tote outside. Lol

I take everything inside except the sand tank. I do put the sand shield back in to protect the center pipe hub. I leave the plug off and wrap a tarp around the tank and secure with straps. On my third year of same sand.

Tested CYA last night---70. Happy, happy!

Could you show how skimmer is attached to shelf bracket?

Had some health issues so pool didn't get up last summer. Still moving slowly but plan to go ahead with packing peanuts. If I have problem with skimmer, I believe I can put empty bleach bottle in to support it. My plan is to use shop vac to blow peanuts in so I only have small opening to close...

I actually use a mosquito net over pool whenever not using the pool. It's lightweight and only takes a few minutes to put on or take off.

Call me crazy, but I'm going to attempt the Hayward skimmer. I will be able to mount it on the ring as I won't have it filled with air, but with packing peanuts. Please keep letting me know reasons it won't work. Thanks y'all.
