Suggestion around here is to slam your pool with bleach to the shock level. Your CYA rounds up so it is 40, so shock level is 16 I believe. Mine was still cloudy and reading fine, I did the slam and it cleared up a bunch.

Anyone have any recommendations for lights for an above ground pool? I have none for it right now and was wondering what is the go to choice for lights to help illuminate it in the evening. Also any recommendations for a thermometer?

Ok, I will test the CYA again at lunch to get a more accurate reading and go from there on the SLAM process. During the SLAM is it safe to get in the water or should I wait until it is all over with? I ask because the wife may not be happy if I interrupt pool time :(
