Update: Went from 11.5 FC and 0 CC to 24 hour Later 9.5 FC and 0 CC which is around 17.5%. I am used to around a 25%-33% loss so things are lookin good. It is amazing how things can be growing but unable to see them.

When I had my green monster, I found it moves a little quicker if you go 1-3 PPM over the recommend. This little cushion will allow it to stay at or above the recommend level for your CYA a little longer. If the SLAM level is 12, I would maybe put it 13-15 to get the process going a little...

Ok thanks for clearing it up. I thought you would never have to use Borax or Baking Soda again. I use Baking Soda every now and then to raise my TA when it gets too low.

I am in Spring, TX and my pool has no shade. I lose on a typical day 1.5. Sometimes depending on weather or swimmers 2-3. When I start losing more than 2 PPM per day that is a sign that my pH level may be high as well. CYA is at 50 as well. I typically add 24-40 ounces of 8.25% bleach.
