    Readings this morning: FC = 7.5 pH = 7.6 AK = 90 CYA = 60 Looking real good. Now, what do I do to keep it? Just check chlorine everyday or should I add chlorine each morning or night at a maintenance level?

    Yes I have done many AA treatments and it clears the stains. No we are not well water but we have iron in our water. I did the photobucket but it will not work now. I'll try another photo site.

    Have drained pool again and am starting to fill. Also have iron stains all over steps and walls. I just don't know what to tackle in what order. I am now wondering if this is pollen?? It is like a dust all over the bottom of pool and on sloping sides. ???

    Drained down to 1 foot of water in shallow end. Refilled . Been slamming pool at FC =35 for three days. Nothing has happened. CYA is around 90 - 100 now. I've read about the NaBromide treatments and am about ready for it! Just don't know what product to buy. I have found Yellow Out here...

    Lost 6 inches of water due to vacuuming. Had to add about 8 inches. Of course iron staining Coming back from new water but I can deal with that. But my CYA is above 100. Readings this morning: FC 3.4 pH 7.0 TA 120 CH 80 CYA 0ver 100 JUST KEEP ADDING BLEACH??? More water makes the iron worse...

    Pool was cloudy. Husband tried to vacuum and lost 6 inches of water; thus, had to add water. Pool began looking a tad green or teal. Shocked with 3 pounds shock last night. This morning FC = 1 but CYA is 140!!!! Grands are here to swim!

    Analysis tonight: FC = 8 CC = ?? couldn't get reading; sample did not turn pink after adding 5 drops of R0003 pH = still off chart yellow; took 34 drops of R0006 in Base Demand Test to reach 7.0 color TA = 25 CYA = 7.0 I did add 13 lbs soda tonight before testing.

    The dreaded MUSTARD ALGAE

    In Mississippi with mustard algae i assume. It is all over the pool, pool walls etc. But none of our poor is in shade. Have tons of people coming in for the weekend. Need to clear it up ASAP! Tripe shock it? No vacuuming? Don't have a manual vac.

    Green water after shock

    Water looks much better today. Still maybe a tad green(aqua). Levels are good except TC and FC; still a bit low. I bought the Culator bags to put in skimmer for metals. What do you know about them?
