    Alge?

I replaced the cartridge on 3/15 which was before I swept the liner deposits. I've cleaned the cartridge once since replacing but not since adding the clarifier. How can it release back into the pool if the circulating system, which also maintains a set water temperature, eventually passes all...

    Alge?

Two weeks after I treated the pool only once with a clarifier, the pool cleared to my satisfaction. I don't know whether it was the clarifier or the 2 to 3 ppm FC I have been maintaining with a daily 1/2 cup of 8.25% bleach. I hope the 3 ppm level recommended by you will keep the accumulation...

    Alge?

I think I'll try a clarifier first. I understand it should congeal small particles that then can be caught in the filter.

    Alge?

I've had the FC at not less than 10ppm for a week. Latest OCLT's run 1ppm. What do you recommend to get rid of the "dust"?

    Alge?

I added 4 cups of 8.25% bleach to insure a high enough ppm starting point. Results of OCLT; 15.5 - 14.0 = 1.5. Next step?

    Alge?

Between 6/3 and 6/6, I added a total of 13 ozs of Sodium Dichloro-s-triazinetrione Dihydrate. On 6/9 the FAS-DPD FC was 15ppm and the CYA 40. Today I used the pool for the first time since 6/3. Today's test results; FAS-DPD FC 6ppm. CC .5, ph 7.5, CYA 40. The pool is clearer, compare with above...

    Alge?

"Was your sample 10ml?" - Yes "The first time the sample goes clear the test is complete." To continue to use the sample for the CC test, the instructions say to add 5 drops of R-0003 to the now clear solution and swirl, but the sample had turned back to pink. Can a valid CC test be made using...

    Alge?

My first time determining CYA resulted in a reading of 40. When I tried to do the FAS/DPD chlorine test, I added 30 drops of the R-0871 to the sample before the sample turned clear, however within less than a minute the sample turned back to a pink shade. Adding 2 more drops, cleared the sample...

    Alge?

I thought I had successfully eliminated the cloudiness in my pool however the accretion on the liner reappeared and a brushing of the liner increased the cloudiness. I brought up the CL to over 5 ppm for the last two days using Sodium Dichloro-s-triazinetrione Dihydrate. When I remove the...

    Heaping Scoop

Just got my TF-100 kit. Was reading the Chlorine Drop Test using "one heaping scoop". I looked in the DPD powder compartment and could not find a scoop. Looking in the rest of the kit, I found a 2 inch long blue plastic scoop with a measurement of 0.05 grams, in the graduated cylinder with the...

    CYA Level?

Interesting. The manufacture recommends between .5 and 1.

    CYA Level?

Given my profile description and vinyl liner, one person using it for 30 minutes a day, what would be your recommended levels, with the CYA at 30?

    CYA Level?

The skylight in my signature is centrally located over my pool (2ft over 14ft pool length, 4ft over 6ft pool width, recessed 21 in. above pool room ceiling, ceiling 64 in. above water level). The amount of sunlight that hits the water is dependent on the time of year and day when I am using the...

    Alge?

The pool has become clear as I continue to add bleach to get to between .5 and 1 ppm. Also, I have just done the yearly replacement of my UV sanitizer bulb which could also have contributed to the clearing. Thanks to everyone for your input.

    Alge?

I brushed the liner and shocked the pool. The algae no longer accumulates on the liner, however the particles/flakes apparently have disintegrated to a point where the water is cloudy. My question now is how cloudy is to cloudy? Can I expect any treatment to make the water crystal clear?

    Alge?

The vinyl liner of my pool has developed a coating of material that appears brown against the light blue liner. This material brushes off easily, appearing as a cloud of dust particles or small white flakes. The material does not adhear to the acrylic swim current benches. The buildup covers the...

Endless Pool Nature 2 cartridge, swim current timer

Endless Pool specifies that the Nature 2 cartridge is installed using a tie wrap to hold the cartridge in the pool water filter. Having done this and upon later removing the filter for cleaning, I found the tie wrap retention strap had deteriorated and broke apart, 2 pieces of which got into the...
