    Liner leak stopped for winter

Actually I’m happy to report that it was! We ended up finding the actual slit in the liner that was causing our pool to leak! It was in an area that we didn’t even suspect. Once we patched that up we haven’t had any water loss issues!! Thank you so much for your time replying to my post!

    Liner leak stopped for winter

I actually found a pin size hole in the liner tonight on the slanted side of the pool. Planning on getting it sealed tomorrow. Could one tiny hole like that drain out quite a bit of water? I’m hoping we aren’t dealing with several but I’ll soon find out once we patch it if it continues to lose water

    Liner leak stopped for winter

Our pool developed a pretty significant water loss at the end of last season. It drained down enough that we couldn’t maintain the upkeep so it eventually filled with algae. We couldn’t determine just where it stopped because it filled back up to the normal level from rain. It maintained that...

Pool deck and siding collapsing from Chipmunks

We have a 20x40 inground pool and there has been an area we have seen many chipmunks crawling under the coping between the cement deck and pool wall. It has undermined the dirt so that it is bubbling the liner out and now the cement deck is starting to collapse. Is this anything that home...

New pump- can I vacuum to waste with it alone?

Thank you very much for helping and answering this for me. I guess I will just have to be patient and wait for everything to be set up before cleaning it out.

New pump- can I vacuum to waste with it alone?

We just ordered a new pump and filter and if you've read my previous posts we are in the process of removing the old equipment that was plumbed into our basement and putting the new equipment outside by our pool. The pool has A LOT of algae on the bottom (I have skimmed POUNDS of it off the top...

Best Sand filter/pump for 20x40 inground vinyl pool

Thank you! This advice is great. We are planning on building an equipment pad in a 6x6 space. We would eventually like to add a heater and turn it into a salt water system. Do you think that size pad could hold all of that equipment? Will the 31" and 1 HP pump be possible to also handle an auto...

Best Sand filter/pump for 20x40 inground vinyl pool

We purchased our home with a gigantic inground pool mess we are trying to rectify. The current filtration system is located in our basement and needs to be relocated outside. I have dug up the pipes on the outside of my basement foundation and plan on installing new pipes to redirect the...

Help! Need to redirect plumbing out of basement and reroute to outside

Thank you!! This sounds like a very possible solution! To complicate things even more, the pipes outside are under our porch with military crawl access only. I dug the pipes out 2' down and 4' across to get to them- all with a gardening hand shovel haha!! So my goal is going to be to dig them...

Help! Need to redirect plumbing out of basement and reroute to outside

I think I could only feel one drain hole in the skimmer when I cleaned the muck out of it. If it is routed through the skimmer would it still be a separate pipe coming into the house as the two pipes with the shut off valves are the two that I can't determine which is what. I know one is the...

Help! Need to redirect plumbing out of basement and reroute to outside

Unfortunately it's just too risky to keep the equipment inside the house. The damage the previous 'leak' caused was almost $20,000 and we can't risk an insurance company denying a claim since one was already placed for this reason. There is a dump pump connected in that room (that is what the...

Help! Need to redirect plumbing out of basement and reroute to outside

We bought our house with a 20x40 inground pool that hasn't been opened in 5 years. It's a complete frog pond. The filter and pump are plumbed into the basement of our house and we need to get those pipes rerouted outside to prevent any possibilities of it flooding the basement (it happened to...

    What lines are what?

Thank you so much for your responses! I will try to use the shop vac technique- please don't laugh at my naivety- am I blowing the air after I make the cut on the outside pipe? I have stoppers in all of the ports that I know of. We don't want to be flooded with water when we go to make the...

    What lines are what?

We just bought a house with a 20x40 inground Pacific Steel pool. The problem is that the equipment has been plumbed into the basement and we need to get it rerouted outside of the house. (It flooded the basement prior to us buying it). The problem is that we don't know what intake pipes go to...
