Sorry about the hijack! I have a 360 and it does almost the same except it usually gets stuck in the corner or on its side. Just rebuilt also and a new back up. I read on polaris' website that the hose should be no more than 6" longer than the furthest point of the pool, mine is like 6 feet...

No...not hard aggressive. I think it was more just something to scrub it off, but brush does'nt work. They seem to be slowly disappearing as time goes on.

So a tablet will take it off...I rubbed a tab on a 2 foot circle area and it came off but it kind feels like sandpaper(before rubbing the tab on it). Could it be some sort of scaling???

Also leslies says my TDS is high...I think over 3000 and my phosphates are also, like 200ish. Could those have anthing to do with it??

I took bleach and poured it on the top step and scrubbed when the water level low after I vacuumed to waste the other day and nothing, is that the same or does it have to be tri chlor. I've had the fc at shock level for a week while doing the slam. I'll have to get some vitamin C and try that.

Yes water is clear. I'm not on well, on city and FWIW leslies said there was no iron in my water, They also said that there was no cya when I put 4 lbs of it in last weekend and I measure it to be 40 so not sure if I trust that.

As best I can tell everywhere. It has a sandy texture when you scrape it off with you fingernail. The steps, returns and also the skimmer are stained brownish.
