    Sand Pump Pressure Gauge

    I bought an oil filled gauge. The pressure reads a bit lower than my old gauge, but once I adjusted my brain to that, I had no problem. Word of warning: you have to remove them with a wrench at the base; trying to install or remove by hand will break the gauge.

    Hi, all, I'm having a devil of a time trying to pump the April rainwater off my inground pool cover. A lot of vegetation got on the cover and rotted, and now when I try to pump the water off, the pump's spongy filter clogs up after 30 seconds with muddy gunk. I am afraid to run the cover pump...

    Well, that's just logical, isn't it. :-D The algaecide was the local pool store's brand and was just called Algaecide-60, I think (I'm at work, so I don't have the bottle in front of me). I do use the tri-chlor tablets in a feeder, and powder shock. I'll be switching to the BBB system...
