I added DE per forum recommendation, and within a few hours pressure went from 17 psi to 30 psi. I back flushed. My question is: does the DE stay in sand? Or does it have to be replaced?

Been slamming pool. Its now clear and passes both chemical tests, brush 2-4 times a day. A couple hours after brushing, there again is debris on the seams. Is this dead algea? Which means i still have live algae on the vinyl liner? I have a sand filter.

Is testing cya during the slam accurate?

I started my slam last night. I didnt realize my bottle of DPD powder had turned rock hard. I thought I had another bottle but didnt. I doubt any local pool store has any, thus it will be Tues/ wed before Amazon delivers. Any helpful advice?

I keep getting a deposit along seams in the shallow end of dark debri. I can vacuum it, back flush, etc...and a few hours its back. No algae in pool anywhere, but cant figure out where its coming from. Chemical tests are good. Salt pool. any help appreciated.

I've taken lid off one hundred times. O-ring gasket is good. Pentair type pot, has the clear dome, black locking ring. Lose pressure when shut pump off, when I turn it on its bubbling there, leaking. I've felt for sharp edges, etc.. Cant find a thing that seems to be causing leaks. Any help...
