    Any interactions with Boric Acid?

Just added some Sodium Bicarbonate to raise TA from 40 to 60. Added muriatic acid the day before to lower pH a tad. Need to add boric acid to raise it 10 ppm for the pool season. Should I wait to add it or is it ok? This is the pure boric acid and not borax.

    Learnings from a TFP follower

I thought it would be beneficial for others to hear from someone that was not brand new to TFP and had "some" knowledge of pool chemistry. The pool industry really does a good job at making you believe things that are not true and that resulted in my stubbornness to accept the ways of TFP/...

    Enzymes and oils

Should I SLAM or should I continue as is? - FC is climbing

Over the summer I had a lot of algae on my pebble Tech walls. I suspect now, its because I did not understand that you have to use more chlorine as you add more CYA. I used to keep my CYA at 40ppm, but read a saltwater pool should be at 70. So I did that and kept my FC the same at 3-5. Now...

Confused as to My SLAM Target Level

My CYA is about 60 as I have A SWG. I've been running my SWG full output as I waited for my 1515 test kit. It's colder in S Cal so chlorine isn't burning off like it was in the summer. I think the target Slam Level is 9? The 1515 test says my FC level is 10 Not sure how much liquid...

Why Can't you use SWG for SLAM?

Currently I dont really see much Algae but see green clouds when I sweep so I think there still is some. Now, in Nov in...
