I have an Ecomatic ESC-36 saltwater cell. It used to say filled with water. Recently, the housing doesn't seem to hold water (vacuum leak). See attached pictures (close up and then a zoomed out shot ).
I indicated water flow with blue arrows and its leaking from where the water exits the cell and holds fine where it enters.
Is it OK for the cell to dry out every day vs always being wet?
I was going to replace all the gaskets to all the check valves, actuators, pump lid gasket, to try and solve unless there are better suggestions or if this is normal (Maybe I imagined that it held water all this time)
I am not really seeing air bubbles enter the pump nor the pool through the return jets.
