I have a dedicated vacuum line that is pulling just a little bit of air, but when I hook up the vacuum hose to it the pump loses its prime and will not fill back up until I pull out the hose. Any advice.

my inground vinyl liner pool is losing water and I have air bubbles in the pump basket. I understand that this is an underground plumbing issue because it only loses water with the pump running. I have three skimmers and was wondering how to narrow down the problem area?
