thanks for helping me find the leak. i bought some fiber fix, hopefully this works. 100x stronger than duct tape. I also ordered a new gauge for the filter. now to test the chemicals :)

im wondering if that's whats causing the air bubbles, i release pressure, the dome fills with water, and the bubbles seem to dissapear, 30 minutes later, the dome isn't even half full of water, and the bubbles from the return are back!

That dome on top of my sand filter, the one with the gauge.... should it stay full of water?

ok, i tried a new oring, again on the pump, this one is blue and supoposedly you don't need to lube it. it took care of the bubbles, no more bubbles but when i turn the pump off, there is splash from the lid, now is that ok?
