just an update. I decided the hose that I vacuum with was leaky, and not suctioning well. Borrowed a neighbors, did a vacuum job, 2 hrs later the algae isn't depositing back at seams. Usually its back in 30 mins. I will check it again tonight prior to OCLT test.

and what about the algae that accumulates each day? and leave PH where it is, or lower now?

Jim: just wanted to post a follow up. I looked at that clear lid every way possible, put it on a level and looked for warpage, cracks, etc, found nothing. New one arrived today, and leak is gone. Thanks! I suspect the clear lid is 20 yrs old, and was a bit warped.

I've not found 10% bleach. Clorox brand says 6%, Great value said the same. I was using bleach from Rural King, until tonight, when I discovered it was 2.5%. I learned all bleach is NOT the same.
