Suction Vac air leaks, but cannot figure out why

It usually froths pretty violently, but doesn't drop enough to where the water shoots out like a faucet. However, today I experimented with where these steel pins rest and found that if I have them at the lowest setting, it actually stayed clear of bubbles. But that's only an option on the...

Looking for a water bag alternative

I was planning on doing this this year. I see by your picture you have an AGP, so I'm not sure how you set it up so that the bottles would fall into the pool. My thoughts were to tie them to the grommets to hang down. How do you utilize them?

Suction Vac air leaks, but cannot figure out why

Regular filter it runs about 14psi and it goes down to about 10-11psi when a vac is plugged in.

Suction Vac air leaks, but cannot figure out why

I have the regular hose and head that came with my pool and I also bought an "auto" suction vac. Both work fine and I'm happy with their performance (I'm sure MANY would be better, but at this point, I don't know what I'm missing). However, every time I "plug" them in to my skimmer, I lose prime...

Outdoor TV...is a true outdoor model necessary?

Love all these set ups, especially since all are affordable tvs! Hope everyone in Dorians path stays safe!

Outdoor TV...is a true outdoor model necessary?

We'll be putting up a tv next spring under our covered deck. It'll be in an area that won't get hit with either wind or rain, and we plan on building a moveable brace for it as well. Basically it'll sit up against the roof when not being used. We'll bring it in for the winter months. True...

How do you get good circulation/where is your ladder?

I pulled our ladder last night and noticed that it massively increased the circulation of our pool, at least on the surface. Prior to finding TFP, I had asked our pool store about sediment on the floor and she said maybe our circulation wasn't that great, so to move the jet a bit. I did some...

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

Here were my test results yesterday after first receiving my kit: FC: 32 CC: 1 PH:7.6 TA:150 CYA: 160 I had planned on SLAMing but was told by an expert here I'd need to drain 3/4 my pool to lower the CYA level. Our weather for fall doesn't look like good pool weather and we've got 4 trips in...

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

I'm not sure either! Guess I was just trying to not make it absolutely horrible upon opening, though I suppose what's the difference between SLAMMING now vs. then, especially if there's no guarantee it'll be perfect then even if I do it all right now. Will the CYA lower over the winter, do...

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

Drained a bit while vacuuming and got this about 30 min after adding a gallon of chlorine FC: 32 CC: 1 CYA: 160 :( If I need to drain that much, I'm just closing it now. We'll have to rent a pump to drain and I'm not doing it twice, especially since there's no guarantee we'll be able to use the...

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping 2+inches of rain over the past two nights would help, but no. I'll try brushing & vacuuming to waste tonight and retest after adding more water.

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

Ok full set. Not pretty. FC: 29 CC: 2.5 PH: 7.6 TA: 150 (orangeish, never red?) CYA: 100+ I realize the CYA is a problem. I hate to refill when we're about done for the season though. To complicate matters more, I'll be out of town Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon. My dad can come by...

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

Oh I totally lied. Got home today and the pool is a green, cloudy mess. Pump was on all day, no rain, and partly cloudy but not hot. No idea what happened.

UPDATED: CLOSING EARLY DUE TO ALGAE/HIGH CYA. DRAIN NOW OR IN SPRING?

We got a new 24ft pool installed in June. Been battling something since. We do have a massive tree that covers most of it and we've also had a very stormy summer. At this point, I can vacuum daily and the next day the floor is covered in a layer of "dust". It's very easy to brush and move...

    Deck surround question/advice for AGP

So, we've decked around about 1/3 of our pool (not finished in these pictures). We'll be putting up something to block the area next to the stairs and there will be railings on the sides. The part directly over the pool is the "cannonball deck" for the kids. I REALLY wanted to fully deck the...
