Grabbed a pool vac head this morning from the local Lowe's,, gonna do some manual vacuuming until i get the automatic one running properly.. Did a test this am,, Fc 19,, Cc 0.5 , also washed out the cartridge filter

No problem :) Think ill go ahead and wash the filter every time i do a test during the day,, cant wash the filter too much right? Also,i think i need to get a decent pool cleaner,, we have the Bestway 58304e flowclear pool cleaner ,, but since i just added the Hayward skimmer,, that particular...

ill get onto cleaning out that filter a few times a day (.. also,, i'm a He , not a Her :LOL: )

over a week ago,maybe even 2, i used some "clorox pool algacide".. thats it.

Would it matter that the pool doesnt get alot of sun ,,its under oak trees ?

Did the FAS-DPD test again this morning.. Fc was 11.5, Cc 0.5 ,added into pool math and added what it recommended.. thats correct? Also the pump needs to be running round the clock while this is done?

So, the original set up was a standard 18x 48" vinyl pool with a intex 633T 2500gph pump., and we had a "Bestway 58304E, flowclear pool cleaner". It would attach to one of the smaller 1 1/4 outlets and we plug up the other,,and the vac would go about its business. So today,, i installed...

so to get rid of this cloudy water what would you recommend,,? Also been running that pool vac every day, and running the pump 8 hours every evening.. not very impressed with the vac at the moment,,also have the hayward skimmer here, just need to install it over the weekend.

ok, from your direction,, the CH test reads 350 and from reading poolmath hopefully correctly, i need to add Muriatic acid and areate the water to lower the TA, then need to lower the CH via replacing some of the water?

Nope no pool scale,,,, so it took 9 drops of the R0871 to get clear

Have this larger pool since April (18 x 48), and everything was going good till few weeks ago,,, was using the HTH test strips.. replaced just over a half of the pool water in a attempt to lower the "extremely high CYA " now the pool is cloudy , and i can't get it to clear up. Went ahead...

To cut the holes bigger we just used an exacto knife. We also just bought 2 extra rubber gaskets to go on the outside of the pool where the holes would be. What we did was took the rubber gasket from the pump inlet and basically drew around the inner part of the gasket,then very carefully cut it...

This is the reason why we went forward with cutting bigger holes verse using the adapters,according to our local pool shop, if you use the adapters the flow of water will be lower so you wouldnt be getting the full HP of the pump.....( hope i explained it right ,,sounds viable though). Granted...

Thats kinda the same thing we did KleanKiddiePool,,but we have a 12 x 3ft intex pool,,and the pump we got with it is , well rubbish So we went ahead and bought a 1500ghp,now the inlet holes in the vinyl were too small for this new pump,and the local pool shop recommended making the holes...

I hope no one minds,im gonna jump on this band wagon also..... We have a intex 12 x 30 pool,and have just upgraded the pump from the 500ghp,to the intex 1500ghp. Now here's the problem,the standard intake holes in the vinyl are the 1",and the ones on the new pump are ( if i remember...
