    Pool Reno: last minute decisions

IMO, the smaller the opening the more you can control the water flow for the "water falling sound" that you're looking for with return valve positions. This is especially true when using VS pumps at lower speeds. MY OPENING IS TO WIDE and water falls down the tile face , two years ago I removed...

How do I drain my pool ?

Gunite/plaster pools can also pop out of the ground if local water levels are high[1][2]. Also, plaster can fail if let to dry out in the hot sun. As you may know, Here in Florida where we are living the water table is extremely high. You do not want to drain it if you don't take proper...

I have a 2" check valve that's starting to leak back to the pool overnight. The valve is about 20 years old, I'll post a couple of photos. Pool pump motor not working

Two years is not an OLD pump, the life expectancy is a lot longer than 2 years and Century is a well known manufacture (normally a 24 month Warranty) . Perhaps a warranty claim will work for you? If not then It comes down to you and what you want/or can do. If your somewhat handy the motor can...

Sounds like your motor has all the symptoms of a full life . How old is the pump? You just may want to consider a VS pump for energy savings. Swimming Pool Supplies - Pool Parts - INYOPools.com is a good resource for replacements use by lots of members here and myself.
