    Might remove the Liquidator

Re: Liquidator removal help You might also try removing the flow control valve altogether. I would give that a shot as well as 12% Chlorine before abandoning it.

    Liquidator check valves question

The general rule of thumb is that if the Liquidator inlet and outlet holes are above pool water level, you do not need the check valves.

    Liquidator up and running

I am on season two with my Liquidator as well and have found that for myself, the best schedule is as Duraleigh has described. I run four separate two hour sessions evenly spaced throughout the day/night. I keep the flow set at a specific rate (2 in my case) and never change it. I fill the...

    Fiber Optic Light Question

You will need to find out what size bulb the housing is rated up to. There should be manufacturer information on the box somewhere. Call them and they should be able to give you more insight. Also some of the fiber optic companies sell a basic illuminator and then they sell an adapter that goes...

    Liquidator Questions

I will try to answer them. 1. Are you sure it's a film? Does it come off when you wipe it as if with a pipe cleaner? Because it is probably just discoloration from the Chlorine. My hose became discolored in spots (whitish) shortly after I installed the Liquidator. There is another thread around...

    Liquidator installation thoughts and comments

John, I have found that it is actually beneficial to have the unit drain down when the pump is not running. That is when I perform my refills and it is very easy to do when the level is much lower.

    liquidator advice

You should lose little to no Chlorine overnight. To test I would shut off the Liquidator flow completely in the evening. Test the water at night after the Liquidator has been shut off for at least 1/2 hour. Test again in the AM before light. If it is lower than nightly reading than something is...

    New source for Liquidator

I didn't see this posted any where so here you go. The gent who sells the TF test kit is now selling the Liquidator as well. http://www.tftestkits.com There are also enough Liquidator owners within TFP forum that you should be able to get support for any questions or issues.

    Liquidator installation today!

Mike, How long are you running your pump on a daily basis? I can almost guarantee that 1 is too low. My pool is 6000gal, I run the pump 6-8 hours and mine is set at 2. What is your CYA level? That will determine what CL level you need to be at. I would shoot for around 30 CYA and 5-7 CL. You...

If that is what it is, you can use standard schedule 40 PVC fitting and HD cement on it.

    Need help with Liquidator installation

I am not too sure about how to get a ball valve attached to Tigerflex. I think I saw a link somewhere on the forum where someone address this.

    Need help with Liquidator installation

Yes. What kind of tubing do you have coming to and from the pump to the pool? Is it the corrugated flex tube or is in either hard or flexible schedule 40?

    Need help with Liquidator installation

The purpose of raising the Liquidator would be to remove the check valves. If you remove them you will get a much better flow rate. But you can't do it if the liquidator holes are below water level.

    Need help with Liquidator installation

Gardog, You only have a few options to increase the flow rate and you do obviously need to increase it: A. Restrict the flow on the skimmer. The cleanest way to do this is to cut the skimmer line in half and install a ball valve. Not a bad idea to have anyways on an aboveground pool as it...

    Liquidator not feeding any bleach

Try adding the bleach in the early evening, let it settle for 10 minutes and then test. Then test again in the morning. If it decreases then you are fighting algae or something and should probably shock your pool to around 10ppm CL for a few days.

    Liquidator not feeding any bleach

Probably the best way to make sure that you have CL coming out is to disconnect the return tube before the check valve while the pump is running and get some of that water into a container to test. Once it hits the return into the pool it will become quickly diluted. How many gallons is your...

    Liquidator not feeding any bleach

If your CYA was at 0 then there is a good chance that the Chlorine is dissipating almost immediately. What is it up to now? I would shot for at least 30PPM. What is your flow rate when you open the valve all of the way? Unfortunately the easiest fix on the Liquidator is removal of the check...

Another conversion - Finally done !!!

What is the volume of your pool? I think 2 gallons are probably not enough. You really want to shock it in the beginning stage and the baqua will eat up two gallons really fast.

    connecting liquidator

Hasa recommends connecting it right before the pump.

I like my liquidator, it makes BBB super easy.

Miranda, Yes the first thing you should do is relocate the pressure line to right after the pump output. when I first hooked mine up I had a similar issue and called HASA tech support (661-259-5848) and that was their first suggestion. Increasing the amount going into the Liquidator will also...

    Liquidator vs Peristaltic Chlorine pump

I still think the liquidator is hands down a better approach than a separate pump. It doesn't take any additional electricity, there is no additional piece of equipment that can break, it's very affordable at $133.00, it traps a lot of sediment that a pump will not trap, and it works. I have yet...

    SWCG vs. Liquidator

I put salt in my pool simply because it makes the water feel less harsh. Here's my cost analysis on the Liquidator. Cost was $133.00. During the summer, I use about a 1 - 2 gallon a week at $2ish. That's pretty much it. I never shock and rarely have to add anything else. Well maybe a box of...

Chlorine / Bromine / Clear Choice - Which way to Go?

that's the problem that I ran into with Chlorine, I had to add it every day. I have a smallish tub and even with a good CYA level the CL would be too low each day. And if you forget to add it before getting in just one time....rash!

Chlorine / Bromine / Clear Choice - Which way to Go?

I went through the same evolution as you. I attempted Chlorine in my hot tub only to find out that it is to difficult to maintain safe levels. It just burns off to quickly in the heat if you use liquid and CYA builds up too quickly if you use tablets. Switch to Bromine. Very easy. I haven't had...

I like my liquidator, it makes BBB super easy.

I've had my Liquidator for an entire season and have found my experience and methodology to be very similar to JCJR. I have an 8K fiberglass pool, single speed pump. I run it six hours during season. I have the flow set between 1&2. My CL also curves from higher when the Liquidator is full to...

    Just got my Liquidator-

I can answer these. Yes. It would have to. As the water layer above the chlorine become larger, the concentration will decrease somewhat. No. The 4 gal version give me about two weeks before it empties. I keep the flow rate/concentration level in the pool on the upper side of the BBB best...

    Just got my Liquidator-

Dave, One hole should be drilled right in front of the leaf catch on the pump where the three lines have terminated into one. Looks like you have just enough room there. The second hole should be drilled somewhere on the pipe where it exits your sand filter. I am not sure what you are referring...
