I knew this was going to happen! My turn for a SLAM.

Seems to be good... slipped a bit to 16, but I did do a bunch of brushing, vacuuming and set Zippy into the pool after the vacuum came back without a bunch of garbage. I can't tell from the picture, but my eye is saying that there is an improvement. (Maybe Wishful thinking?)

I knew this was going to happen! My turn for a SLAM.

tested again at 12pm. Was at 17. Went out at 1pm and set the Stenner to run for 15min, then shut down for an hour repeatedly. We'll see where that puts me.

I knew this was going to happen! My turn for a SLAM.

Well, I just tested, and came up with 14.5FC. I think that is where I need to be right now. I set the Stenner to Random on the timer, and will test as the day goes on. It should bump me up a bit.

I knew this was going to happen! My turn for a SLAM.

I knew this was going to be the case! I usually open my pool an Easter weekend, but this year I spent it in the hospital with my wife. We just got home on the 16th of May, and I have been dealing with Hospice Care, and taking care of her. As a result, I did not get the chance to open the pool...

    New to site Alabama

I would also advise you to update your location in Alabama. I am in the North-East corner of the state, and we get a completely different type of winter weather than a place like Mobile does. Welcome to TFP

    Stenner 3/8 Tubing Ferrule Orientation/Torque

It sounds like you did it all right. All my tubing is 1/4", and I have no experience with the 3/8" to know if there is a difference. I was surprised at just how little torque was needed with mine.

DIY Pool Heater (On Demand Heater)

As promised ... some pictures! The first is the cold water collection point. A 1" pipe with a T fitting set just off the bottom of the pool. From there it goes to a 3/4" reducer and sent to black irrigation tubing tied to the top rail. Then to where the magic is. The pump is attached to...

DIY Pool Heater (On Demand Heater)

Well, as promised, here's the update. I ended up running the gas at medium instead of low, and it lasted a full 2 weeks. I am happy with that. :) I also added a temperature probe to the setup, and set it to only come on if the water temperature at the 2' depth was below 83 degrees. I have to...

DIY Pool Heater (On Demand Heater)

First for a little bit of information. We live in the "Sticks". If you go 1/2 mile from me in ANY direction, you do NOT have broadband Internet or the option for it. The only reason that I have it is that the Volunteer Fire station that is on my trunk line (DSL) requires it so lucked out in...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

the point of injection is after the filter, and in the line from the filter to the pool. If I am running the filter pump at high speed, the filter is registering 15-18psi.

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

That is the pressure inside the filter housing, not the pressure that is in the hose leading to the pool. When my pump is running at low speed, the filter pressure is below 5psi, but the flow to the pool is still strong.

Can I break up solidified R0870 powder?

When that happens to me, I use the tip of my pocket knife, or a stainless deck screw to scrape it back into powder. As long the powder is white, it is good to use.

A few questions regarding a new Stenner pump installation

@kffolts the only thing I can see theat you are going to be changing in the NEAR future is the tube leading out of the discharge. That white tube does not stand up well in sunlight, and should be replaced with some of the black UV resistant tube within the year.

    Stenner Pump Not Working

The grease for the Stenner pumps is a non-petroleum product. I would not use anything that is petroleum based around plastics or latex. I don't know if you could substitute something like Magic Lube for it, or not. @Stenner Tech Support should be able to answer that question though.

Ladder Installed on Deck - Intex Pool

You would REALLY have to re-enforce the mounts to ensure that it would support the weight put on it with someone on it to ensure that it did not contact the bottom of the pool.
