Help me make sense of this flow chart

I feel like the biggest idiot on this forum lately but here’s another question. I’ve looked at the pump run time article here. Live in Phoenix. Pool is an in ground and 11,475 gallons, PebbleTec, liquid chlorine, no SWG, no heater, no spa, 3 2ft sheer decent water features, suction side robot...

Slow down skimmer suction and divert to main drains

So is it best to not adjust it and just leave as is for now?

Slow down skimmer suction and divert to main drains

Well that is disappointing. I guess I’ll leave as is and lower pump speed. Should I just run pump low enough that it doesn’t interfere with the Betta skimmer on a daily basis since I’m not concerned about my skimmer suction? Then ramp up the rpm’s when adding chemicals or the robot?

Slow down skimmer suction and divert to main drains

My thought was that the main drain could help a little with some of the fine dust we get here. Skimmer action will be taken over by the Betta. Ideally I’d like to only have to throw in the suction robot once a week for a couple hours to clean the bottom. Currently running a Hayward VS950 and...

Slow down skimmer suction and divert to main drains

I picked up a Betta solar skimmer to test out. Ideally I’d like to use that as more of a primary surface skimmer. My main drains and skimmer run through the same pipe so I can’t adjust suction there without slowing them both down it seems. I was reading that maybe adjusting the piece in the...

When is a good time to cut back on running all tests every day?

I’ve got a 1 week old Pebble pool. I’ve been using a TF Pro every day to familiarize myself and to keep a close eye on test results. It seems like the last few days I’ve had stable CH and TA levels. CYA is a slow work in progress to get up to an ideal level so will check that every couple of...

CH for new plaster - PebbleTec vs TFP

If fill water is 250+ does that mean we will have to constantly reduce CH? No way around it, it seems.

CH for new plaster - PebbleTec vs TFP

No. Straight from the city source.

CH for new plaster - PebbleTec vs TFP

Currently on day 7 of our new pool PebbleTec start up. We’re in Phoenix with hard water. I haven’t tested our fill source yet. I’ve noticed our calcium hardness had gone up a small amount the last two days from 250 to 275. This is out of range for PebbleTec’s start up recommendations of...

How to adjust auto fill? Seems like it’s stuck

PB wasn’t great. Got it to adjust. Raised the float up but still doesn’t seem to be turning on even though water level is low. I guess a call will be in order.

How to adjust auto fill? Seems like it’s stuck

How can I adjust the auto fill in the picture? I tried turning in the direction of the arrows but it seems like they are stuck and don’t want to rotate. The waterline is below where it should be and I don’t hear the auto fill running. When the start up company came out it had rained the day...

    TA not dropping

Start up pool. PebbleTec recommended range is PH 7-7.4 and TA 80-100. Following this until the pb gets my water sample. On Day 2 of testing myself with TF Pro. Yesterday my PH was 8.2. TA was 110. Added the recommended amount of muriatic acid. Checked PH later in the day and it had dropped to...

Removed pool vacuum can I turn off valve?

Sorry guys, lots of dumb questions coming your way from me now. Complete pool newbie. I’m following pebble manufacture start up guidelines. They say not to use a wheeled robot for 28 days. Well, start up company put it in. I took it out and the side port flap is now closed in the pool. I also...

New pool owner - first test since start up

815am to 8am - sorry not sure how to quote just a section yet. Should it be 815pm to 8am? Or 815am to 8pm?

New pool owner - first test since start up

I’m following the PebbleTec start up ranges which I will post below. Ran the TF Pro tests this morning. I’ve added about 26oz of muriatic acid per the pool math app. Time should lower the FC, right? Or should I remove a puck in the floater? And CYA pool math note says to add stabilizer - the...

New pool and pool start up company set these times - too high RPMs?

I just find it odd they don’t have anything programmed to run from 9am to 9pm. Maybe I’ll leave it for the month and then change like you mention. We’ll see what that first electric bill looks like.

New pool and pool start up company set these times - too high RPMs?

Thanks for all of this. We just left the pool equipment set up like the start up crew left it. I don’t know why they’re leaving it off 12 hours but it seems odd to me. We are not on time of day. Just the APS standard rate but I of course would like to keep my bill down. My plan is to use liquid...

New pool and pool start up company set these times - too high RPMs?

No SWG. The sheers we only turn on for fun, they’re not programmed or anything. Pool was just completed this week so didn’t know if higher speeds are required due to excessive pebble dust. The higher speed seemed high to me also which prompted this question - not to mention it’s louder at these...

New pool and pool start up company set these times - too high RPMs?

We built a new pool and just had the orientation today. The pool company that was sent out to do that set up our pump. We’ve got a Hayward VS 950 for an 11,475 gallon pool with pebble finish. We also have 3 2ft sheer descent features and run the aquanaut 200 cleaner we were set up with for now...

Pool starting up and completely overwhelmed.

Probably some dumb questions in here but I am stressing over the little stuff. Our pool was just finished this week. 11,475 gallons, pebble sheen, no heater, cartridge filter. Hayward VSP 950. We are in Phoenix. The pb is sending a start up company out today to adjust initial chem levels and...

    Anyone have Rio Azul travertine?

Looking to pick out our pool colors and liked Rio Azul travertine but I have yet to see someone with it. Does anyone here use this? Would love to see photos. We are leaning towards Rio Azul travertine for deck/coping Monterrey Tile’s Marb Polar for the ledgestone Aquabella’s waterline color...
