Another one in Las Vegas-Finaled, but not finished

Looking great! How do you like the marker tile now that it's underwater and your water has cleared? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vegas OB! Just got plans back and need some feedback (pics included :) )

The Pentair automation is a thing of beauty. A warning that screen logic is a bit unpredictable, but it's still so nice to have control remotely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All the things I wish I knew before our build

Will, I agree with all of these. The only thing I didn't do enough of was the pvc. I ran one conduit for landscape lighting but not enough. My new sod is a mess now while finishing the lighting and wiring speakers around the pool. It turns out I needed another run on the other side of the pool...

    New Build in NE FL

I'm sorry to hear. Unfortunately this isn't the first time we've heard this. Someone has a real shot at making a lot of money for a competitive product with better customer support and delivery timelines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All the things I wish I knew before our build

I've seen threads like "what 1 thing would you have done different or what 1 thing could you not live without" but I wanted to capture all of the things I wish I knew or gave more consideration to before our build in hopes of helping others. While TFP helped me a ton along the way, I was less...

New build on Florida's Space Coast!

I didn't give much thought to coping, but contrasting coping really defines your pools shape! I like it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Using a PB in Vegas

Be sure to talk through your marker tile grout selection with your PB. Ideally they wouldn't grout them and instead let the plaster or pebble (if you are doing small pebble like pebble sheen) fill in the voids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using 2 Different Tiles at Waterline - Sizing Discrepancy - Thoughts?

I can appreciate this comment. Our glass iridescent tiled spa is certainly the most maintenance needy part of our pool (from the spillover), only 30 days in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using 2 Different Tiles at Waterline - Sizing Discrepancy - Thoughts?

I still think separating the lightstream tile from the backing and tightening the grout lines is the best bet for the best fit. Alternatively just split the difference with the overhang on the top and bottom (lightstream tile centered). It won't be noticeable to anyone but you. As you may have...

    Heater on but not blowing

    Heater on but not blowing

I'm not seeing any flow error codes, but when I manually adjust the temp from the heater itself to a temp above current temp the fan kicks on and it starts to heat. So it seems it may be something tied to our automation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Heater on but not blowing

Thanks, Mo. Very helpful. While certainly worth checking it just seems unlikely to me that we would have an electrical problem this early on. I noticed our filter pressure is a bit higher than normal. Any correlation or potential causation there for the heater fan not kicking on? Sent from my...

    Heater on but not blowing

Absolutely no noise from the heater. It's got power, but no whirring. And no movement trying to get the fan going. The pool had been heating all day and is at 85. But it won't kick on to heat the pool either if I set it above the current temp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Heater on but not blowing

Trying to get the spa to heat. Screenlogic, the panel, and the heater itself (Hayward heat pump) all show it on and trying to achieve a 104 temp. But the fan isn't on so it's not actually heating. When I turn it off in screenlogic, it keeps turning it back on (but no fan movement). No recent...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Here is the gate. High Load | Bed Bath and Beyond We had it around the house and just gave it a shot. We were very pleasantly surprised that it sat on the shelf floor without floating. I guess it is just heavy enough to submerge and not move around. It's not anchored or tied down, so you still...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Is that bad? LOL. In addition to hearing your thoughts on a viable solution for the returns after you calm down, what's a reasonable cost to have an actuator added to my manual spa bypass valve? We are using it enough manually where it makes sense to automate it. Sent from my iPhone using...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

In the rare chance we don't get refinished, are there any options to convert what I have to a threaded? Could we thread the pvc or drain below the return line and do a similar inserted return that is glued inside the pvc (but wouldn't be flush under the plaster)? Sent from my iPhone using...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Our returns are not threaded. They are push-ins, kinda like this: Since we are refinishing the pool, could they switch them to threaded? I'd prefer not to have to keep "popping" them back into place every time my pump speed increases. How would that work? Could you thread the pvc or would we...

South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Re: South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE Yes I actually mean the return eyeballs pop out of the pool wall. 2 of the 4 of them. I have to hammer them back in with a mallet after cutting the rpm below 1500. If you recall from my thread, I have a manual spa bypass valve that...
