Premium is so you can store all your logs and we can see the history too.
In either poolmath, go into the upper left menu and select 'effects of adding' fill in your gallons and select SWG.
Then select your SWG from the list, 'calculate for free chlorine' and fill in the hours and %. It will tell you the expected production at the bottom.
You can also change calculate for FC to run time or % to do it the other ways. Basically you give it 2 of the 3 and it calculates the 3rd.

Also, if you look at the main dashboard page, when you press any of the displayed items that have a > mark, it will show you your current (or last recorded) level, and then there is a Target Level box. Below that, depending on the item, you'll see what you add, and how much - with options for different strengths etc. Example below :
Can I expect my saltwater generator as long as I set it up properly to produce enough free chlorine that I shouldn't have to add liquid chlorine on any type of regular basis? And if I need to make 3.1 ppm of free chlorine a day, I'll have to run the pump 24 hours to get there right now. I think you listed that you were making 2PPM a day and it was just keeping up and keeping you level when the sun gets super hot for most of the day and the hot summer where we live does your saltwater generator keep up and how many hours a day you're running your pump just trying to figure out a battle plan which is a little more complicated when you're offsite five days a week
Goodness yes. Your cell makes more than double what you could possibly need in full sun, and you have some shade. If the pool isnt quite 38k gallons, it may make triple.
When faced with a guess, its always take the too much choice instead of the too low one. With the exception of opening when its too cold for the cell, i never need jugs. I keep a couple on hand just in case and go buck wild using them to clean the house exterior / patio furniture when I dont need them for the pool.
Mess around with poolmath. 10 hours @ 100% is 4.1 FC per cycle for you.
My hours, % and different unit don't matter to you, only the production. I am making 3 FC per day and holding it well in regards to the weather swings.
Yeah. Demand can swing week to week if 5 or 6 of the 7 days are blazing or sloppy. But you'll get there. Can't get that experience you need without living it for a while.
Set your SWG to what PoolMath suggests, assuming a loss of 3-4ppm / day. For me, as I run my pump 24x7, I'd set my RJ-60+ to 25%.
Then, you watch the levels for a day or so, and adjust accordingly. Your SWG probably won't produce the laboratory-obtained-maximum-performance, your pool might have a leaf in it using up some FC, the sun may have been extra spicy this week...who knows...but measure, and adjust accordingly. If your FC seems to be slowly dropping, dial the SWG up a notch or two. If it's creeping up, dial it back.
At this time of year, I usually check FC every other day, and tweak the SWG accordingly - Last week was 75-80F and beautiful sunshine...this week is 50s and rain. My FC target range is 3-9, so a swing of a couple points isn't going to cause me any major problems...and it's way easier that lugging jugs

This is OPs weekend house so its trickier to learn with less chances. (But we'll get there).
