After a year of replacing practically every part in my Polaris Quattro P40 with little to minimal improvement, (and even after an in-warranty rebuild) I finally decided to try something different. I read & watched countless reviews and finally decided to give the SMONET CR6 Pro a try. I figured it was cheap enough, and if I didn't like it I could return it. I had major concerns that it would come crawling out my beach entrance and be knocking on my patio door. But alas... SUCCESS!
It is a simple plug and play cleaner. Has floor, walls and water line settings. Charged it up right out of the box and then sent it on it's maiden voyage. The very first thing it did was come up on my beach entry and stop. UGH... I was so disapointed. But I carried him to the deep end and he went on about his business. Battery life says 2.5 hours, and he has been running even longer than that. On day two I left him on his own to see if he could survive without my intervention. Sure enough, he ended up on the beach entrance again. But I waited to see what he would do. After sitting there for a little while, he slowly backed himself back into the pool and went about his business again. He has a water sensor on the top. I end up with a lot of fine sand in the pool because of the type of rock that was used on the waterfall and beach entrance. It does a fabulous job of picking it up, as well as picking up the bugs, leaves and grass. I have only had him for two days, but I was excited enough that I had to tell someone. I am giving him a big thumbs up!
Hope this helps anyone looking for an economical, cordless, robotic cleaner that also has beach entry concerns.
