Hi Friends! I hope everyone had a lovely winter and getting geared up for POOL SEASON! I drug my little beauty out of the garage and got her all assembled. Seems I have some pool set-up amnesia as it took me longer to get this darn dang thing assembled this season.

I have 2 arms that were damaged last season (long story...) and I'd love to get some thoughts on what I can do this season to correct the damage before I fill'er up! I'll attach some pics - I'm thinking maybe some pool noodle could get in there and create a round surface for the weight of the pool vinyl to rest and remain straight. Very small amount of rain water in the pool so far - so now is the time to fix! I've checked Bestway website - replacement arms are out of stock. I've checked Amazon but not sure I trust the measurements.

I also want some guidance on paver placement as I begin the fill process. I have the little 5x5 stone squares this season, but I also know the legs might move a bit during the fill. So just general guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I'll have to dust off my trusty rust removal bucket, and my test kit. I cannot wait for a happy pool season! CHEERS!

You need to order replacements for those on the bestway site. If they go the pool goes and everything in its path, including kiddos in the pool.
they are holding up a 40,000 pound bag of water.

Welcome BACK sis !!!!

I saw you pop in the other thread and suddenly today was going to be a better day. :)

+3 for structural risks.

You may can carefully bend them back temporarily and fit another pipe tightly inside of them for rigidity. The pool will need to be drained to do this.

AWWWW YEAAAAHHH! My faves chiming in and confirming what I was afraid - full replacement. Bestway doesn't have them in stock... argh.

I really want to replace them - structural integrity is a level 0 right now. @PoolStored I messaged the seller on those Amazon replacements - fingers crossed those work. @Mdragger88 these are beyond "bending back" sadly.

I have a fraction of an inch of water in the pool now - lovely rainy days; so the sides can still be dropped, new arms put in, and we'll be back in action!

& ebay!

Yeah. You know how much that bad boy dances around when being enjoyed to the fullest. If that creased bar lets go, the pool inhabitants will be out in the yard before they know what even happened. The broken/bent bar may impale someone on their way out, or smash them right in the grill. I'm less concerned about hitting ankles or such, but still. Those too.

I don't know how much effort I'd put into JoeDirtJr knowing its coming down as soon as the parts are available. Or maybe that's the ticket. Put 2 weeks of hard labor into it so the parts are available on day 15 and you completely wasted your time.

It’s bad… I had to take a day break because I was so upset. Moved my daughter home from college. I went outside and flipped it up right. I need maybe 3-4 new T-connects, and probably an additional 2 arms. At this point I might just scrap it, sell it for parts, and get a new and bigger one! Am I nuts???

If the top rails you bought aren’t returnable you can sell them yourself on eBay.
It does say that they will fit with 16’ or 18’ if you go with the same model and they could be spares

a quick search shows:
18’ bestway $449 at Sam’s club
18’ coleman $499 at Wally World
If you go much bigger you may need to upgrade your pump
