Shhhh we don’t talk about Joe Dirt. Not this season! But yes… he’s here. And ready for duty should he need deployed. 
I have four gallons of chlorine to get her up to SLAM level too! And with it being the cooler months of summer I shouldn’t burn too much!
Missing one tiny piece of the filter collar before I can fire up the system. But other than that we are READY!!!!!!

Ummmmm....I've been unclear for months. Why "Joe Dirt," has nothing to do with dirt.
"Iron Joe" might be more apt.

I feel like Joe Dirt was a tribute to my ability to stand up a pool and go through some of the most “hill billy” ways of getting my water clear.
Iron Joe would be spot on for sure!!
It also appears I have forgotten everything there is to do with testing... sheesh!

PH: 8.2 (off the charts hot pink)
CYA: 0
Last year having so much rust meant SLAM level chlorine, and then I finally leveled out CYA and fixed PH.
This year having zero chemicals in the pool out the gate, I think step one is to bring UP CYA to at least a 20, and balance with the appropriate amount of chlorine? Or do I do the opposite - get this pool to have at least SOME FC, and then figure out an appropriate level of CYA?
