I was brushing the pool and when I was really up close to the edge of the pool, I can see some hairline cracks in the fiberglass (gel coat?)

These are super small, but the pool is only 1 year old.

Manufacture closed this year (owner died), they have been in business for 40 years I trusted them, but now I got no warranty.

Is this something that happens on FG pools regularly (hairline cracks?)

Should I monitor it closely?

At least it is not a crack submerged in water.

thanks again

There is a difference between cracks, which are structural weaknesses, and the crazing of the gel coat.

There is a lot written and on YouTube about gel coat crazing on fiberglass boats.

Keep an eye on it and the gel coat can be repaired if necessary.

Thanks for the info, seems like an easy repair, I will let it evolve a bit before performing the repair and I will see if there are anymore that pop up.

Great link and instructions, thanks.

My fiberglass pool had a few when new. Made the mistake of getting them 'repaired'. They are now very noticeable as they can never match the gel coat color.
Yours being white they may have a better chance. But they do not cause any issues if left alone.
