I am getting zero chlorine from my SWG. (4 years old) Currently using LC until I get this figured out.
My water is crystal clear but I check it about once a month in the off season compared to 2-3 times per week during season. I turned on the heater to warm it up for the grand kids and checked the chemistry only to find zero chlorine. The LEDs are all green accept the cell light blinks green as well as the word cell is in display.
The water looked good but I decided to do an OCLT anyway to be sure since this has happened in the past however with algae present. It was all good. I was due for a filter change anyway so I did that at the same time.
Waited a few days turning the cell up to 80% but when checked still nothing. I decided to open it up and clean the blades with a wooden popsicle type stick because there was some although little scaling. I did a 4-1 acid soak after for 10 mins. replaced and tested a few days later but still 0. I have not given up yet since I have no red or yellow lights or error codes, just the green blinking cell light and the word cell, which I have no idea?
Any ideas?

Your cell is depleted and needs to be replaced.

Thanks for the links. I saw that the normal life expectancy of the unit is 3-7 years. Well I have used mine constantly year round for the last 4 years, I was hoping to get more out of it by keeping it under 30% but it is what it is. I was able to do a little research on the new iChlor+ models and sounds like they will work with the existing power supplies. Not sure if they will be any better for the extra cost. I may just pick up another iChlor 30 and save a few hundred, and I know these work with my intelliconnect app.
Any feedback on those that have tried the new model? Benefits?

The new cell models have only been available first a few weeks. Too soon to judge reliability.

Their modular construction may allow them to be more repairable. Time will tell.

Maximum cell life expectancy is 6,000 to 10,000 generating hours. There are about 8,900 hours in a year.

Running 30% for 4 years gets you into that window.

Pentair warrantys the new model cells for 3 years or 10,000 generating hours, whichever comes first. Expect about the same cell life for the same size new model cell.
