New Colorsplash LXG-W bulb not changing colors

Hi - new to pool ownership the last 8 months. The light wasn't working so bought a new bulb (very expensive, and the cheapest option available), installed it and it lights up. It’s supposed to cycle through colors by using the light switch. However, our on/off switch was at the breaker and I just had another switch converted to control the pool light and had hoped I could now cycle through the colors. Nope. The bulb does work, illuminating with a simple white/clear light and I'm unable to cycle through any colors by switching it on/off according to the manufacturer instructions.
What am I missing? The box says no other controller is needed. How can I make it change colors? TIA for your advice & help!

You mean the on/off WAS the breaker or a switch located by the breaker?

What switch did you have installed?

Can you show us exactly how it is wired?

Who wired the switch? You or an electrician?

Thanks for replying. Here's a photo of the switch. We had a switch on the wall that turned an outlet on/off (right below it). To turn on the pool light, I had to go outside the pool enclosure, open the breaker, and flip the breaker on. I had an electrician run power from the breaker for the light to the existing wall switch and make the outlet live. It’s dark now and we haven’t installed lights yet so I unfortunately can’t get a picture of the switch wiring.

The on/off was the breaker. The switch is located near the breaker (inside the pool enclosure).
I just took a photo of the existing light switch in case it shows something you notice isn’t right
