I need a replacement but can't figure out if the cover is white or just sun/chlorine bleached light tan. Hayward was zero help and local dealers don't know.

Does it have the large "H" on it? If so it probably was white. Hayward doesn't list that cover as being available in tan. There are aftermarket tan covers available.
That's a white cover that has stains on the bottom that look like iron or just discoloration from pool water.
Hayward makes white, black and gray.
You can get other colors from aftermarket manufacturers and you can even get metal ones in different metals.

they are white covers. Mine also discolor (yellow) if they are covered and then get more white as they are more exposed to the sun. I have washer then with a bleach solution and it helps, but once covered by the winter cover or anything else they yellow. I have been tempted to replace them with grey ones or aftermarket ones to see if they stay more white.
The travertine (I hate) is light tan so the discolored white looks better. I'll learn to live with it. Maybe after a winter it will look closer to the older color that blends better.

A brass cover should look nice in your travertine.
For $200 plus I would have expected a cast plate, not a fabricated one.

Just saw them, i would prefer stainless over aluminum. Also not sure if they fit the plastic skimmer or need their own frame ring. When I hit the lotto I might upgrade.
