Official 2024 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

This an enormous salad . Big eaters here lol

That’s a great looking salad! We’re also big salad eaters. I grilled up 6 large chicken breasts this evening and we just reheat them in the microwave for salads. Salad is all prepped, so we have a ready-made meal in a snap. Homemade dressings, too! So easy and control of the ingredients. Forgot about pictures, though!

Another plus - it’s been in the mid-80s here for the past couple of days, which is highly unusual. A little humid, but I’ll take this weather. We just returned from Glacier National Park and it’s cooler here in Texas!

Do they just throw a dart at a map of Manhattan to name their pies ?

Both have distinct vibes and it ain't pizza toppings. The empire state building and Herold Square on 34th for example. They both probably have pizza nearby, but that's not the main event.

I drove 45 min one way to get this bad boy. It’s a monster . I have to take a “door shelf” out of the fridge to get it to close with the pizza box in there. I mean I try HARD on homemade pizza, crust sauce and all . But once in awhile I let the pros handle it haha !

Not sure how this fits the thread. I didn't see "buying from a restaurant" in the title.

I’m not sure this fits the thread as I do not see “griddle” in the title.

But wth here it is anyway

Achiote marinated chicken fajita

I kinda thought this thread was to inspire each other with ideas 🤷🏼‍♀️IMG_6178.jpeg

Have you tried a white pizza,Like I pictured?
Maybe not everyone here has and would be in inspired to try.

Btw, In case you missed it I have posted home made pizzas.

As mentioned , we get in a bit of a menu rut around here and I’m open to and looking for new ideas .

But to satisfy the thread name I removed the post for you 😊

Point taken . Have a great day 👍🏻

Cooked up some chicken thighs for a pool day with our son and his family. I tried cooking at a higher temp and using the extension grate to push them higher in the dome of the kamado for radiant heat in an attempt to crisp the skin, but to no avail. They still tasted superb! Seasoned them with a homemade scorpion seasoning, which balances the heat with a healthy dose of turbinado sugar.

Ready for the smoker:

And the end result after about an hour indirect @ 380°. Cooked until IT hit 175° because thighs are super juicy even at that high temp.
