My pilot on my Hayward H2001 Millivolt NG heater is giving me trouble, so I’m planning to replace the pilot assembly with Hayward part #HAXPLT1931.
There appears to be one brass fitting connecting the gas supply line to the unit. The picture of the part shows it comes with the gas supply line already attached to the part, but at the end that attaches to the heater, no fitting. I suppose I could reuse the supply line from the existing part by unscrewing at both ends. But, if I were to plan to use the new line, can someone explain in some detail how to get the bare end of the line to attach to just the existing fitting?
