Intelliflo + lightning strike

I am looking for troubleshooting suggestions for my Intelliflo vs+svrs. It was running fine yesterday. Last night we got a lightning strike very close or at to my house last night. I had 3 pieces of equipment on my home network damaged.

Today I noticed that the pool pump was not running. I have power cycled the equipment. The pump does not even try to start up. The display just shows "Alarm! Priming Dry" after coming out of reset. I shut down the power. I reached inside and turned the impeller and verified that the fan outside does spin (no broken shaft)

Another thing I tried was that I disconnected the control cable and powered the system back on. This seemed to put keyboard/display on the pump 'in control'. I selected "speed 1" and hit start. The display said priming. Then the display showed increasing RPM values but the motor never turned on.

I took the lid off the control board, no burnt marks on the circuit board. I noticed that the control board assembly disconnects from the motor housing. ( I am curious of the pinout of the connector)

Based on what I have done so far I am assuming the "priming dry" alarm is for when the pump is running but no water flow is seen.

My questions:
- Has anyone else dealt with something similar?
- Does anyone know the pinout of the connector between the motor and control board ( to check for an open on the windings)
- Anything to watch out for when shopping for a new intelliflo control board?

Thanks

You will probably need a new drive.

VS pumps with electronic controls do not have simple motor windings you can check. The motor is the IntelliFlo is different from the single-phase induction pool motors on the most residential pools. The motor is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which instead of having a rotor made up of shorted copper bars (otherwise known as a squirrel-cage rotor), has a rotor with a bunch of powerful permanent magnets.

The drive is the electronics that sit on top of the motor and control the motor speed.

Pentair does not sell a control board. They sell a complete drive that is bolted onto the motor.
