Just installed a IntelliConnect and running into a couple issues.

1. My Pentair Intelliflo VSF randomly turns off. I can re-enable it, but it shuts down again after a few minutes.

It’s connected via the comms
Cable that came with the pump and is recognized in the app. Just won’t stay enabled.

2. My Hayward H-Series H350, will not turn off.

When installing the intelliConnect I moved the Fireman’s switch wires from the old Intermatic timer to the heater terminals, and it does nothing. The heater will stay on when the app is set to off/idle.

I have attached a picture of the heater connections, the system is wired into the Pool wire from the board, and a wire that appears to go to the igniter (no change from the original wiring to the Intermatic.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you need a firmware update you your IntelliConnect for your pump turning off.

Pentair IntelliConnect devices have two different board versions in distribution denoted by PIF or PNR. This problem is with the PNRA1 firmware. If you have the problem with the PNR version exchange it for the PIF version.

Pentair support said in September 2021 it's a firmware issue they're working on and currently testing a beta fix. In 2023 we have heard Pentair now has PNRA boards with updated firmware that fixed this problem.

Call Pentair Support.

My controller has the following prefix (PNRA1PIF…)

Hopefully that’s the right one.

You can also have a firmware problem on your pump.

IntelliFlo firmware V3.03 & V3.04 in 011028 or 011056 pumps or IntelliFlo3 pumps can cause intermittent RS-485 connection problems. We have had threads on members having these problems with their pumps.

Call Pentair support.
