Pre pool opening (white water mold)

Water temp 68 today and cya is closer to 50 than 60. Will test again when water is 70 or higher
I think you're good to switch to monthly CYA tests. Your filtering needs are low with the autocover so you'll rarely backwash and lose water. And most of the rain and gets stopped by the autocover so you won't get diluted thst way either.

It should be pretty solid from here on out.

THANKS. We get pretty heavily invested in folks and their journey. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled when they don't need us again. But I'm low key sad when we don't get occasional updates that things are great.

Ok, so I didn’t get to test or add Lc yesterday .
Opened and tested today fc was 3.5 ridiculously low. I have not been below 7 since opening slam.
I immediately added per pm to get to 10 ppm. Even a lil extra because it was the end of the jug
That was about 12:30 pm. Tested just now almost 6 pm and fc is 5.5. Cc 0.5 (one drop makes it clear)
water looks great no weird stuff happening .
Was very sunny here today
The only variable I can come up with is the heater ran for a few hours today and also for several hours Thursday. I did add Lc Thursday evening to get me up to 10 but nothing Friday, never even opened it.
Am I panicking for good reason or is everything ok?
Thanks
Bpm
I was thinking an oclt might be in order

More than crickets chirping around here now . I’m cussin up a storm. Just wth happened ?! We have been in the pool twice . Only 2 of us. Always shower prior to getting in. Suits freshly washed hours before getting in.
Running the heater is all I’m coming up with. But doesn’t water run through the heater all them time even if it isn’t “heating”?
as a side note Uv is pretty high here today

I have no idea. I'm sure you were watching the daily FC, after what you went through, so it's not like you slacked.

Totally overkill but you do you. :) We stopped washing the suits frequently. If you think it through, they come out of the pool more sterile than they come out of the laundry. And the laundry leaves residual soap/softener each time.

The same with the towels. Unless you're all oily from sunblock, you're clean hetting out of the pool and so is the water on the towel.

No slacking 😊 just that one day
I had noticed my daily loss was running -2 mostly . Then did go to -3.
But days are longer, warmer, more sun etc, so didn’t figure it was a big deal .
I will slam the $@&! out of this thing all day everyday . 🤣
I never want to see another white flake
My black suit may end up brown but dang it my pool is gonna be clean

Oh and I agree on the suit wash.
That was for the first entry of the year .
Hmmm maybe I should have left the suit in the pool during slam … it is last years suit
