Hello All-

I've been battling this issue for quite some time. I got the replacement part from Amazon, watched a few videos, seemed easy enough. I get everything disconnected on the old housing, but for THE LIFE OF ME, I cannot get the bottom two screws off, so I can't get the old housing off. The top two came off no problem. I've tried everything and after 90 minutes of goofing off with it I gave up.

Any suggestions? My pool builder is out of business so they're no help.

Got any 1 inch pipe laying around ? Slide it over the ratchet handle for more leverage.

Or borrow a bigger ratchet from a friend/neighbor.

The bottom left, and bottom right screws. Like I said, the tops came off no issue but I absolutely cannot get the bottoms off.View attachment 567540

Put a box-end wrench on the bolts, with a hammer tap the other end of the wrench until it starts to move. You're likely to find that the seal has been leaking and that the motor is corroded at those bolt holes.
