Robotic cleaner

I'm looking to get a robotic pool clearner. Our pool is about 15k gal, screened in but with a couple of palm trees inside the screen. So it's mostly fine dirt, pollen, etc that gets in the pool. It's a plaster pool with tile around the edges, some steps though cleaning them isn't a priority as I have a 5 year old so any debris on the steps usually gets pushed to the bottom of the pool anyway haha.
I went to two pool stores (Leslies and Pinch a Penny) to see what they had/recommended and am leaning towards either a Jacuzzi JCRX or Polaris Scout 42iq. Thoughts on either? Recommendations on other ones?

me,

See this Review..

Buy wherever you want, but I would at least call Marina Pool and Spa before you do..

I would never buy any equipment from a pool store... :(

Thanks,

Jim R.

When it comes to checking out the best sellers on Amazon, I'd recommend exploring the styles and models of wireless smart robotic pool cleaners. They're super convenient for both surface and underwater cleaning.

Best advice i can give is get the simplest cheapest name brand robot that has waterline and wall cleaning capabilities. I have had a dolphin cc (not the plus just cc) for 2 years now and just rebuilt it (see here My Dolphin CC Rebuild.). It does well on super fin debris like pollen with the fine pleated filters installed. Something to keep in mind, robots are not meant to be left in the pool. They need to come out and be stored. This is why i only got 2 seasons out of mine.

We have had a Dolphin Active Solo for 2+ years, provided as a part of our pool build package. It worked great for almost 2 years, and then started having issues just turning off for no reason. The dealer took it back and replaced the motor twice last year, but never resolved the issue, and now it’s out of warranty. Maytronics has washed their hands of it, and I with them. These are disposable products, so buy accordingly.
