Just started our pool build. Going with a simple rectangular pool with a spa and sun shelf. Planning and permitting took a little while because of the size of our yard but finally underway! Going with Pebbletec Sheen Blue Surf for the interior with the attached finish options for spray decking and coping. Feels so soon now, with summer looming

Day 2 - rebar laid. Plan for plumbing the jets tomorrow. We have some little bits of metal from where the rebar was tied together that are sticking out, but PB swears they'll be covered by gunite.Screenshot 2024-03-19 at 5.28.55 PM.png

Congrats !!!!

Did they dig it with drones ? It's the cleanest build I've seen by a mile.

If you can do me a favor, attach the pics however you did it. Then there is a thumbnail below the posting field. Click 'insert' and then 'full image'. That posts the pic to the post, and not the blurry thumbnails. (y)

Thanks for the heads up - let me know if that solved it! They came in through the side yard with a large excavator and kept it pretty clean back here. The front yard is a mess lol.

Those tie wires (pig tails) will be covered by Shotcrete, you still want them as far away from the plaster as possible, this will lessen the chance of coming in contact with water and rusting and that rust making its way to the surface of the plaster.
Have them pushed down towards the dirt to accomplish this. IMG_5464.png

I was going to suggest to change the firepit to a rectangular / square design. The round shape doesnt' match the house or pool.

Also, too late now, but rolling the beam on the spa would of been more practical. We did something similar to yours in ours and regret not rolling to have more comfort.

On the upside, it's just a portable fire pit we already had (inherited from the prior owner) so we can change to a squared off pit any time.

Good call on rolling the beam. I think we're going to look at some cushions we can stick behind our necks if the edge is too much.
