Need a New AG Pool

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is healthy and doing well! I had to tear up my yard for an new septic system... Arrrg. Of course the pool, pool deck, jaccuuzzi deck all had to come down. The pool I had was an Illusion that was full resin frame and a steel wall. I had this pool for 25 or more years. Replaced the wall at about 20 years and went thru 2 liners. Great Pool....I could walk the ledge to vacuum. The dealer I bought from doesn't sell it anymore and the quality of the pools he has is cheap cheap cheap. I'd like something I could put a foot or two into the ground, want to run chlorinated water and an oval...maybe 12 or 15 x 20 or so. Any idea's, thoughts or recommendations? Thank you for your time folks!

I inherited an aquasport style pool when we moved although it was an 'American something something pool' instead.

It was 17 years old, partially buried and it was an absolute tank to demo. It laughed at a grinding disk in a circular saw and regular Sawzall blades. I had to use the 5X thick ones and it chewed through the teeth in 15 ft or less.

The parts in the ground came out as good as new.

Notice the individual slats that lock together unlike a traditional one piece wall. They are coated and much thicker.

Anywho, I would buy one of these pools in a heartbeat and I would think twice about taking another one down. Lol.

They also make 100% resin pools now but you have to really look into it. For ages it was only the framing and the wall was still metal. Now those are considered 'hybrid' to the all metal or all resin pool. The hybrids may still claim 'all resin' like they always did eventhough there is a better/truer choice now.

Both the styles I mentioned have a premium price tag, but quality never comes cheap. If the budget allowed I would have a hard time choosing between the two.

Nice! looks like it was extruded Aluminum?

This is what had to come down....arggg

Broke my heart to tear it all apart..... Hoping I can build it back better.

Want to go with an oval lined up with the house deck.

Sorry if I've posted pictures I shouldn't have

Some sort of coated aluminum. And all the pieces interlocked giving it strength for days.

I tried to work out some of my frustrations taking it down by stabbing it with a crowbar, that also was pretty useless in the process. It laughed at that too, and I'm a big dude and I was trying to go through the wall.

You can tell from the # of hits and how they go a few directions I was pretty upset. :ROFLMAO:

It gave me even more respect for the pool.

Looks like she was a beaut. :(

Hang tight for more thoughts. The above grounders should be returning in droves soon as the north half of the country warms up.
